Indigo, is a multimedia company started by Birmingham-born filmmaker Darnell Richards. his intention with this production company is to produce films that explore what it means to be human.
As society heads even further down the path of complete reliance on technology, Indigo wishes to capture what it still means to be human.
Darnell Richards
Darnell Richards is a Birmingham-based filmmaker, video editor, and Creative Producer with an MA in Media Production from Birmingham City University. His journey began with film studies at Walsall College and Coventry University, enriched by a year in Madrid, and has since evolved into a career spanning short films, mini-documentaries, music videos, and community arts programming. As Creative Producer for Powered By Can, Darnell designs and delivers arts projects across the Black Country, collaborating with major galleries, community hubs, and youth groups to inspire creativity in young people.
Alongside this, he is a freelance writer for Oculate, a London-based urban music magazine covering UK talent, where he contributes reviews, features, and artist interviews. Known for his strong work ethic, fresh ideas, and commitment to visual storytelling, Darnell is passionate about making a lasting cultural impact through film, media, and the arts.
