Producer Portfolio
As a Creative Producer with Powered By Can, I develop and deliver arts programming that connects young people across the Black Country with transformative creative experiences. My work blends community engagement, cultural programming, and artistic collaboration, ensuring that every project not only inspires creativity but also strengthens the region’s creative network. I focus on giving children and young people aged 1–18 the tools, opportunities, and confidence to express themselves through film, photography, theatre, and other art forms.
Key Projects
Bringing Arts into Everyday Spaces
I design and run creative programmes for ages 1–18, working with partners like The New Art Gallery Walsall, Wolverhampton Art Gallery, to the Dudley Canal Trust. These aren’t just workshops, they’re spaces where young people get to experiment, create, and tell their own stories. We’ve hosted sessions everywhere from school halls to youth clubs, allotments, and community gardens, proving that art doesn’t need a traditional stage to make an impact.
Creative Outreach That Sparks Ideas
Some of my most rewarding moments have come from hands-on outreach projects, such as a creative takeover with Cranston Roots, where over 100 children spent the day making, exploring, and collaborating. I’ve also partnered with Dudley Reflections, Caldmore Gardens, and Nashdom Community Hub to bring creativity directly into the heart of local communities. One highlight was our Merry Hill Takeover, a vibrant event where a variety of Dudley-based organisations offered activities ranging from film and music production to street art and painting, engaging well over 100 young people in a single day.
Building Platforms for Young Creatives
I founded the Powered By Can Youth Arts Board, bringing together over 10 young creatives to discuss what’s missing in the Black Country’s creative scene and how we can change that. We hold monthly online and in-person meetings, trying to establish an agenda for Powered By Can. It’s a space for ideas, collaboration, and action driven by those who will shape the region’s cultural future.
Connecting Communities Through Creativity
A big part of my role is bringing together talent from across the creative spectrum. I’ve worked with award-winning photographer Owen DeVisser, MOBO-winning producers A Class and Future Through Sounds, and influencer Shantania Beckford (200k+ YouTube subscribers) to deliver high-quality, inspiring workshops. These collaborations open doors and show young people what’s possible.

Events That Start Conversations
I curate events designed to connect people, spark ideas, and put young voices centre stage. Our Creative Collab networking events bring freelancers together, while the Youth Summits have provided a platform for over 60 young people from the Black Country to share their aspirations for the arts in their communities, complete with panel talks, live performances, and innovative ideas for the future.
